Ubuntu in Osaka!
I just was curious and Googled "Ubuntu Osaka" and hit this old post of yours.

My name is Carl, I live in Osaka and use Ubuntu Hardy (wasn't into Intrepid or Jaunty enough to switch) as well as Mint "Gloria". But talk about your user-friendly systems? These days both Ubuntu and Mint are incredibley "Noob-friendly". If people were just a little less timid to try the unknown, Linux could be far more popular than it is right now. But you knew that.

Anyway,宜しく!風https://www.blogger.com/profile/08532451509996621894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455782214242472677.post-60057558052244479212008-11-30T08:38:00.000+09:002008-11-30T08:38:00.000+09:00Yes, you can set a Swedish keyboard layout. But th...Yes, you can set a Swedish keyboard layout. But the layout assumes the existence of a key that is lacking altogether on Japanese keyboards. You end up having to switch the keyboard layout all the time depending on whether you want to write the Swedish characters "ÅÄÖ", or write "<>|". This is a mess, especially as a lot of the punctuation and symbols move around as well. When you forget which keyboard layout you're in at the moment (and you forget all the time) you end up writing some very strange-looking text by mistake.Jan Morenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06834641501438709866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455782214242472677.post-16411970278099588152008-11-30T05:12:00.000+09:002008-11-30T05:12:00.000+09:00hi,I recently moved to ubuntu and I agree its a lo...hi,
I recently moved to ubuntu and I agree its a lot faster and I realized you can do almost everything you can in windows, if not more but a bit faster.

By the way in windows you can set swedish keyboard layout. You need to install swedish keyboard and have it selected as your second keyboard layout. All you need to do is to change the keyboard layout on fly by clicking Alt+shift.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03511874849199490851noreply@blogger.com
